We are a young team that left Spain in 2009 and we are in London to create this beautiful project. At the request of our "walkers" we grew up in Paris, Dublin, Berlin, Malaga, Cordoba and Budapest, teaching these cities to thousands of Spanish speakers. We are professional guides and we are madly in love with every corner of the cities we teach.
Buda Castle is one of the most iconic corners of Budapest . Dominating the Danube from the top of Buda Hill, it has witnessed the history of the city for several centuries. If you want to learn about its evolution over time, as well as the essential places of this district of the Hungarian capital from the hand of an official Spanish-speaking guide , join our free tour!
We will meet at Döbrentei Square , next to the statue of Empress Sissi , to learn about the origins of the Buda Hills before beginning our walk to the Royal Palace . Along the way we will discover the curiosities of the Semmelweis Museum or the Castle Gardens Bazaar , from where we can ascend to delight in one of the best views of Budapest.
The history of King Bela IV , General Eugene of Savoy and the monarch Matthias Corvinus will accompany us as we walk through the surroundings of the majestic Buda Castle , which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, along with the monumental and residential complex on the hill. In addition, the palace currently houses the Budapest History Museum, the Széchenyi Library and the Hungarian National Gallery.
Our next stop is in the administrative area of the Buda district. Here we will find the Sándor Palace , the official residence of the President of Hungary. Right next door stands the Carmelite Monastery , where the country's Prime Minister performs some of his duties. Do you know what the differences are between the two positions?
We just have to cross the street to enter the residential area of the district, also known as the medieval city. Among its streets, we will find corners with much to tell, such as the Hospital de la Roca or the traditional Ruszwurm Pastry Shop , a place frequented by Empress Sissi , where we will discover the cakes that delighted the queen.
The Matthias Church awaits us very close by to surprise us with its peculiarities, before ending our walk at the Fisherman's Bastion , one of the most popular and beautiful viewing points in the city, from which you can immortalize a dream postcard. Are you going to miss it? Reserve your place now!
Due to ongoing construction work around Buda Castle, part of the route up to the palace is via conventional stairs. Please take this into account if you have limited mobility before booking. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Statue of Sissi, on Döbrentei Square, next to the Elisabeth Bridge. Look for a teal flag or umbrella with the name “Walking through Europe” on it.
