Learn, together with a local heritage expert guide, the history of the romantic public park of Quinta de los Molinos, an old recreational estate owned by the Count of Torre Arias, which passed into the hands of the famous architect and councilor Cort Botín, who built it. transformed it into the wonder that we can contemplate today.
Immerse yourself with us in a true Mediterranean garden and learn about the species grown there. If you come between the end of January and the beginning of April, you will be amazed by the almond tree forest in bloom. It's quite a spectacle!
Did you know that the scientific name of almond trees is Prunus dulcis and that its flowers appear on the branches even before their leaves? The current term comes from the Latin amygdala and this, possibly, from the Greek ἀμυγδάλη In numerous cultures of the past, the almond tree is considered a divine tree.
