Leena was the kindest most informative guide I have ever had. Understanding the background of an area while getting to see it with our own eyes - for me has always been how I learn best. That is exactly what I read this tour was going to be like. So my expectations were already high. And then through the whole tour, Leena's knowledge not only from being a local, but also from being so passionate about what she is doing really blow my mind. I will never forget about Dharavi and next time I visit will most definitely look to come again. Thank you Leena for sharing all that you did and being so welcoming to all my questions.

Walking around Mumbai with Sanjay has been like walking with a local friend more than a tour guide. The route is very well designed, and Sanjay is very knowledgeable and happy to answer a lot of questions.

Thanks for the tour, I was lucky to get a private tour because there were no other bookings. Shivam asked me what I have seen already so we could skip some stops. We did not end at the expected spot but he provided me with instructions to get back safely. Also he was knowledgeable about the most important fact, the culture and religion. He also had some good instructions on how to get around in the city.

It's not easy to consolidate a heritage tour in a city as bustling as Mumbai. Despite it being very loud and chaotic, Sanjay did a good job of keeping our small group together and ensuring everyone felt included. His knowledge and casual style make it easy to follow. I also appreciate how communicative and timely he was before we met. Thank you, Sanjay and all the best!

Taste of Mumbai: Street Food, Markets & Temples Tour

This was a safe, informative, and genuinely interesting tour. I had been a little concerned beforehand because some older reviews mentioned tours being cancelled, but my experience was completely different. The guide arrived exactly on time, even though I was the only guest, and gave me a full and wonderful tour. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions while giving me a much better understanding of the community and everyday life there. I felt completely safe throughout the experience. He also went beyond the tour itself by explaining how Mumbai’s train system works and helping me take a train afterward. I really appreciated the extra effort and would definitely recommend this tour.

Mumbai Slum Tour of Dharavi With Local Guide

Sanjay gave me a wonderful introduction to Mumbai from architectural, historical, and cultural perspectives. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and seems to know something about virtually everything connected with the city. He answered every question I had thoughtfully and in detail, and made the history and character of Mumbai much easier to understand and appreciate. The tour felt informative, personal, and engaging throughout. I would highly recommend Sanjay to anyone who wants to understand Mumbai beyond just seeing the main sights.

Mumbai Slum Tour of Dharavi With Local Guide

Great tour! Guide was on time. We took a train a couple stops to the first location that was a good market on the beach and had 3-4 vegetarian/Indian dishes and some ice cream. Then we walked to another market that had meat dish options that were really good too. The tour ended at a delicious natural ice cream store with authentic fruit flavors. All the food was great and the guide was nice enough to share his umbrella with me since it was pouring rain and I didn’t have one. Also helped me find soap to buy at a nearby store at the last stop since I’d run out. Went above and beyond. 🤩👍
