Namaste & Hello! I’m Sanjay, a proud Mumbaikar with a special connection to South Goa, which feels like my second home. As a freelance cinematographer, I’m passionate about travel, cooking, photography, writing, digital arts, meditation, and storytelling. I also love watching documentaries and discovering new stories wherever I go. I enjoy spending time with underprivileged children, teaching them basic skills and education. Over the past 16 years, I’ve explored India with friends from places like Germany, Japan, Canada, and Switzerland. I’ve met many travelers who only knew India through guidebooks, so I’ve made it my mission to share the "real" India—the culture, the stories, and the hidden gems beyond the usual tourist spots. Being a tour guide is more than showing landmarks for me; it’s about creating meaningful connections, breaking barriers, and offering a truly immersive experience. My Mumbai tour is all about showcasing the city’s vibrant culture, history, and energy in a way that’s personal and engaging.

Tour description

Welcome to Mumbai! often called the Maximum City and the City of Dreams, a city that never sleeps and always captivates. From its colonial past to its modern-day status as a global city, Mumbai beautifully blends history with contemporary life, making it a fascinating place to explore and experience. Mumbai, originally a group of seven islands, has a rich history that stretches back thousands of years. It was inhabited by various communities, including the indigenous Koli fishermen. The city was first colonized by the Portuguese in the 16th century. In 1661, Mumbai was handed over to the British as part of a marriage dowry, and they transformed it into a major trading port. Mumbai played a vital role during India's independence movement, becoming a hub for activists and a center for various movements. Today, it stands as India’s financial and entertainment capital.

Join me on a Mumbai tour that goes beyond the ordinary, where every corner tells a story and every moment is a celebration of Mumbai's spirit – a city that is as dynamic as it is enchanting.

This Mumbai tour not only covers the popular landmarks but also takes you off the beaten path to discover hidden gems and lesser-known spots. As a passionate traveler and storyteller from Mumbai, I’d love to guide you through this incredible city and show you everything it has to offer, from its famous sights to its hidden treasures!

During the tour, feel free to ask me any questions! I’m excited to share all about the culture, history, and fun facts of Mumbai and India with you, along with some of the city’s best-kept secrets that even the locals don’t know about!
