Bryant is an amazing guide that can guide you through Shinjuku and the dark side of Tokyo, the yakuza and the red light district. Definitely worth doing if you want to know more about the less touristy side of Japan and Tokyo. We recommend it!

Yui brought 2 helpers because our group of 18 was pretty large to move through Shinjuku. It was great when she got a head mic so we could hear. I suggested that the leaders wear hats with whirly gigs or other unique design so they can be seen in crowds. We went to some really interesting, diverse types of places which were very interesting and Yui gave good insight. It was a good walk and just the right length as the weather became windy and chilly.

This walking tour was fantastic from start to finish! Bryant was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The pace was perfect, and we got to see so many interesting places that we never would have discovered on our own. The stories what he shared along the way were sometimes scary and shoking!!! , and everything was explained in a fun and engaging way. I felt like I really got to know the city, not just from a tourist perspective, but through the eyes of someone who truly loves it. it was easy to ask questions and interact with the guide. I especially loved the hidden gems and local tips we received — it really added a special touch. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore the city in a unique way.

Very interesting subject matter and was delivered well. However at times felt more like an advert/how-to guide for what was being discussed, and at some point felt depressing and could fall under "Trauma Tourism" and exploititive. Would of been interesting further to discuss what is being done in the city to combat the issues, however this was only mentioned in passing once. I would recommend to people who are interested in this area, however be prepared. On a more positive note, there were plenty of food and drink recommendations during the tour.

A very interesting tour...it truly does show the dark side...more than what I expected! This tour is not for the easily shocked!

This is an absolute must tour with Erick! Erick is so personable, gives a great tour, chats about hard topics but needs light shed on, and the route and pace is perfect! He gives good recommendations on sites to see, places to eat and drink, and teaches you along the way! I really can’t say enough great things about Erick and this tour!

Eric was great. He kept a steady pace and had many interesting facts about the seedy side of Tokyo. He was accommodating of my slow walking due to a leg injury and pointed out ramps and elevators for me to use. Nice considerate man.
