Bring cash and your appetite! 🤤 Tomo’s tour was our second in Tokyo, and we joined with one goal: to enjoy great food. It did not disappoint. From perfectly ripe cantaloupe and grape candy to juicy wagyu beef skewers, pork and shrimp dumplings, freshly grated wasabi by Tomo, and melt-in-your-mouth tuna sushi. It was a foodie’s dream. We ended sweetly with Uji matcha ice cream and a refreshing matcha + lemon juice. I highly recommend this experience with Tomo to anyone looking to eat through Tsuji Fish Market’s best bites!
Totally brilliant, loved every second. This tour started at an interesting temple, then we headed to the market. Wagyu beef skewer, fish cutting and sashimi, rice balls with caramel sauce and icecream and chicken skewers. The whole tour was fantastic, with George giving great food tips and Tomo’s kind assistance, even showing us a wasabi grating board to grate fresh wasabi. It was everything I hoped for. Guiding us to where to sample local delicacies. Seeing the fish cutting was great. Can not recommend this tour highly enough. One of the best tours we have done in Japan.
Vielen Dank, wir haben es sehr genossen. Im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes
Our tour guide George was fantastic – knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. He showed us all the best and most delicious spots in the market. We had an excellent fish breakfast with fresh, local flavours that we’ll never forget. A truly memorable experience!
Experiencia distinta! Muy alegre y divertida! Nos encantó! Muy recomendable!
Nami was an excellent guide. Super knowledgeable and helpful. We really enjoyed the tour, learned about the fish market and tried some new foods. Great tour, thank you.
If I could give 100 stars, I would give it. It was fun and informative. Daichi is a fantastic guide who made our day from the very beginning, his friend Akihiro helped him and was also great. I recommend everyone to take part in this walk. By the way, Happy birthday again, Daichi! Respect from Moscow.

Today, I went on a tour of the Tsukiji Fish Market with Mao. Much to my surprise, I was the only participant, so it effectively became a private tour, with Mao's undivided attention focused on me. I lacked for nothing! Mao was very helpful, pointing out the best dishes to try. I opted for tuna sashimi, unagi, octopus, shrimp fishcake, duck yakitori, wagyu beef and a delicious smoothie for dessert. She also shared lots of interesting information about the various Japanese delicacies found at Tsukiji. As I'm not the biggest fan of raw fish, I decided to skip the sushi bowl offered during the cutting show. Nevertheless, Mao made sure that I could still attend the show, for which I was very grateful! One major advantage is that you get to taste everything. Mao gives you the option to buy, but completely it's fine if you don't want to. Tip: Make sure you bring enough cash. To top it all off, Mao let me try her homemade wasabi paste with my wagyu beef, which she had made using a special sharkskin grater. It was a unique experience — I'm so glad I didn't miss it!
We had an amazing experience with GuruWalk on the Tsukiji Fish Market tour in Tokyo, led by our incredible guides, Mao and George. Both were super friendly, informative, and very attentive throughout the tour. They made everyone feel welcome and engaged, and shared fascinating insights into a couple of temples and the market items we encountered. We got to explore some cool, non-traditional food items and even tried eel, fresh tuna, and grilled wagyu – all so tasty! The tour provided a great way to experience the market and try things we might not have picked on our own. It was an authentic and memorable taste of Japan that we will remember forever! What made the experience even more special was how well George connected with my 23-year-old son, who usually doesn’t engage much with tour guides – but this time, he genuinely connected and had a great time. Didn’t get to see the fish cutting show, but all in all - a really nice experience. We’d definitely book another tour with GuruWalk. Highly recommend!
5 Stars for Chihiro? Not enough! Give her 5 Million Stars! She guided an awesome food tour through Tsukiji Market. I never had a guide who was such enthusiastic, funny and knowledgeable. Keep on rocking🎸 ⭐️💫💫💫⭐️⭐️
Fantastic tour of the fish market with lots of opportunities to try food along the way. The fish filleting demonstration was great too.

A great tour, informative, fun and educational about local history and, last but not least, very tasty, definitely much better than wandering alone through the market alleys, Ayaka was great ♡♡♡
