Really enjoyed our Guru tour in Asakusa. As with our previous tours, Guru walk tours adds colour and very interesting tidbits that we wouldn’t learn otherwise. We would recommend!

Reiko was informative and enthusiastic and never boring. We especially enjoyed her comparisons for styles of residents of Tokyo vs. residents of Kyoto and Osaka, cultural identity as shaped by Buddhism and other social norms, and her general friendliness and good manners. It was a great time.
Kenji was absolutely great! Super fun knowledgeable and also slightly adapted the tour to ensure we see the cherry blossoms since it was their season. He also gave information on language and pronunciation which we really liked. In the end he went out of his way to give us a great restaurant recommendation! Thank you so much. Totally recommend Kenji’s tour!

Kenji had a great energy about him and he shared a lot of informative insights about Asakusa, temples and shrines.
Manabu was very knowledgeable about the sites and history of Japanese culture. He was prompt & on schedule but we did not feel rushed when walking or asking questions. Spoke excellent english

We loved this tour with our very knowledgeable guide. He explained lots of Japanese customs to us as well as great food recommendations from the nearby stalls (there was even time to go and grab some mid tour) I felt really well informed about this part of Tokyo.
The guide, Manabu was very eloquent, really good english speaker, answer all our questions, explain almost everything that we were passing by. I highly recommend yhis tour!

Ce tour a été un véritable coup de cœur. Dès la première minute, notre guide a su créer une ambiance chaleureuse, conviviale et passionnante. Il était d'une gentillesse incroyable, toujours à l’écoute, et surtout rempli de connaissances qu’il partage avec une vraie passion. Chaque étape – de la vue sur la rivière Sumida aux rues historiques d’Asakusa, en passant par les portes majestueuses du temple Senso-ji et les trésors de Kappabashi – était l’occasion d’en apprendre plus sur la culture japonaise, son histoire, ses traditions et ses petites merveilles du quotidien. Mention spéciale à la découverte de Kappabashi Kitchen Town : un quartier unique avec ses répliques de plats en plastique, ses couteaux de cuisine artisanaux, ses services à thé… on se serait crus dans un autre monde ! Le guide a su rendre chaque endroit vivant avec des anecdotes originales et pleines de sens. C’était plus de deux heures magiques, riches en émotions et en découvertes. Je repars avec le sourire, le cœur léger et une profonde admiration pour la culture japonaise. Merci infiniment pour cette expérience authentique et inoubliable !

The tour was amazing to understand better the culture and the history. Ethan was very knowledgeable, kind and funny! Loved how he explained the whole story and his passion for the Japanese culture.
