This is a great tour with lots of information on culture, history and religion of this beautiful Samarkand city. Was quite impressed with the style and the way the guide interpreted with humor etc

Our tour started at 2pm and ended at 5.30pm - our 3.5 hours was 3.5 hours well spent with a great introduction to the ancient and historic part of Samarkand. It was very informative with new information that blew our minds away. It was a well prepared tour with laughter and historical insights. Culture and history was the theme of the tour and we highly recommend this tour. The end of the tour was met with a great authentic bakery and we recommend the pumpkin Samsa!

Fayoziddin brought his enthusiasm and knowledge to an in-depth and spunky tour. I can't imagine all the information that needs to be studied and programmed for each group. While I have a minimal knowledge of Samarkand, I enjoyed Fayoziddin's perspective as a local professional. He was joyful in his comments and shared his opinions with thoughtfulness. There is so much history from Uzbekistan, and this was just the tip of the iceberg. Imagine spending the whole day with him! Priceless.

We had a really great time during this tour. Fayoziddin was really knowledgeable and very patiently explained to us the historical and cultural aspects of Samarkand. We really liked the way he told us the stories and the various historical versions of the events that have happened in the past. He very patiently answered all our questions about the sites - ranging from architecture, history, culture and geography. We would highly recommend a tour with him in case you are looking for a cultural immersion in Samarkand

Yusef had a good route and is very knowledgeable about Samarkand. His English is very good. We were his only clients this January day (as we have been everywhere in UZB), and the only turn-off was that he contacted us the night before with a set price instead of a tip. Ultimately, we did the tour as a tip tour - and we left him a very nice tip.

We had a wonderful walking tour in Samarkand with Fayoziddin. He is extremely knowledgeable, thoroughly well-read, and explained the history and significance of each of the five sites we visited in great detail. He is also very friendly and funny, which made the tour relaxed and enjoyable. The walk was well paced, he gave us plenty of time at every stop to ask questions and click photos without feeling rushed. We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Sitora in Samarkand! She was both funny and informative, making every historical site come alive with her stories. We really appreciated how she carried a heavy folder full of old photos to help us visualize how the city looked in the past — such a thoughtful touch. Her passion for her hometown truly shines through. Highly recommended!

A great tour with Fayoziddin, very informative and interesting.

The tour was amazing! We visited the most interesting places in Samarkand and the guide gave us enough time to let all the emotions sink in. Fayoziddin's insights on history and culture were crucial, well-explained and helped us better understanding what we were looking at.

Probably the best tour we have been on, the guide was super informative and could answer any question that came up. What we liked especially is that he had a bookled with extra photos and explanations to better explain the topic he was talking about. Definitely a good choice

Azad was really good and had great knowledge about Samarkand. He showed me around and also helped me take some great pictures as I was traveling solo. Highly recommend him. ☺️

Ozodbek (Freeman) was a great tour guide and very engaging. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Samarkand and the monuments that we visited. We also only had 2 of us on the tour and he still ran it for us which we really appreciated.

we enjoyed this tour very much. Fayozzidin did a great job weaving the info he gave us into an easy to follow storyline. His enthusiasm was contagious and he was a good source of info for all sorts of other questions we had about recent history and daily life. The tour is great for people who like history and enjoy connecting the dots and revisiting concepts and infos they have come across previously. if you‘re looking for something not quite as obvious as the Registan & main sights tour, this is definitively worth your while
