He guided us to all the key landmarks of the city and presented Samarkand in such a way that we ended up appreciating it even more. The walk was far from boring, despite its length, and we had an amazing time. Highly recommended!

This tour was less visually interesting than the main one in Samarkand. But it was nice to have a local guide to get the local perspective on the history

We are so glad to have come Fayoziddin's tour of Samarkand. To start with, we found Fayoziddin to be a genuine soul who speaks from heart without any judgement. He is a great narrator of stories with a touch of humor and that was the perfect combination. There was never a feel of rushing through places, he has taken time to explain each and every details. Always up for questions and discussions. Without him we wouldn't have got this much insights into the history of Samarkand and we are very glad for being patient and explaining everything to us. I could not recommend this tour and my guide Sitora enough. She arrived on time, the communication was smooth, and the route was well-calculated. Sitora demonstrated a deep knowledge of history and was very attentive. The tour provides a deeper understanding of Samarkand's past beyond the Timur era. Super interesting and a hidden gem!

Fayoziddin is an amazing guru! You can tell that he truly knows what he's talking about by heart, and he is very sincere if he has any doubts. The only downside might be that he sometimes speaks fast and has a slight accent. However, if you ask him to slow down, he definitely will. I didn’t have a problem with that, but after the tour, I learned that my girlfriend struggled from time to time. Walking with him, you feel like 'everyone in the city is a friend of his.' You can confidently follow his suggestions for food and events after your tour. Enjoy your time in this wonderful city!

A slightly too-long walk, especially in the heat. It was 4 hours long, and though we went past the main sights of Amir Timur Mausoleum, Registan Square, Bibi Khanum Mosque and Shoh i Zinda complex, we only saw them from outside and were told too many facts about them. There were also no breaks for the toilet or water, and so we were quite uncomfortable after walking in the sun for 4 hours. Would be good if we could optionally pay and go inside, which is what we did the next day. But this gave us a good lay of the land.
