Free Tour of the must-sees of Rome
Tour description
We'll begin our tour of the Eternal City with the majestic Roman Colosseum. We'll talk about its construction, its beast fights, its naval battles, and its famous gladiator fights. We'll also discuss the Aqueduct of Constantine, as well as the Arch of Titus and the Temple of Venus and Rome.
We'll continue our journey along the Via dei Fori Imperiali , perhaps the most important thoroughfare during the splendor of the Roman Empire. On both sides of the road, we'll stop to tell the history, anecdotes, and other interesting facts about Rome's most famous emperors, such as Tiberius, Augustus, Caesar, and Nero, among others. At the end of this road, we'll find ourselves in Piazza Venezia before the colossal and impressive Altar of the Fatherland , a stone mass covered in marble that gives us the sensation of being on Olympus with the gods.
We'll ascend to Campidoglio Square , where we'll find Rome's City Hall, as well as other important buildings in this square, and the sculpture of Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Behind the City Hall, we'll look out onto the magnificent terrace overlooking the Roman Forum. There, we'll share more stories about the buildings, anecdotes, and interesting facts about each one.
We'll delve into Rome's Jewish Quarter to see some Roman remains, such as the Portico of Octavia and Largo de Torre Argentina. We'll continue on to a comprehensive explanation of Rome's Pantheon, a magnificent construction from the Augustan era.
