Free Tour Curiosities of Palma
Tour description
Welcome to a perfect tour for curious and restless minds with a great desire to discover
We will visit the most emblematic places of the city but in which I will tell you curiosities that do not appear in the travel guides. Details that go unnoticed and that make those buildings visited by thousands of people every year even more special.
Almost the entire route runs through the streets of the old town. We start in the old fish market , the first large civil building built in the city. I will show you where the coolest gargoyle in Palma and the virgin of the frog are. Our next stop will be the Parque del Mar where I will show you where the city was born. We continue along Paseo de Borne where I will show you a strange head and some sphinxes that caused controversy.
We will go through the Cathedral where I will tell you the secrets of its bell tower and some strange stone balls that are on the ground.
Our route continues while we enter the main Jewish quarter and more specifically in its old synagogue where the church of Montisión is located . We will continue to the Basilica of San Francisco where I will explain the history of the Virgin of Lightning and a strange tombstone on its façade.
Very close is the church of Santa Eulalia, place of multiple executions, a strange cross and a mysterious clock.
