Andrew - Guía turístico en Chongqing

We had a fantastic tour with Andrew! I was with my elderly parents, and Andrew tailored it to please us all. He is so kind, nice, entertaining and professionnal, also very fluent in Cantonese and English, that made the communication comfortable and fluid. He was also very caring towards my old parents, specially my mum appreciated this attention a lot because for once, someone explained everything to her and she could talk for hours 😅. The tour was full of little surprises, gems and interesting stories of this exciting and so beautiful city! We fell in love with this vibrant city and Andrew was one of the reason. I was happy to not let myself be influenced by the last negative comment on him, because this person complained about the prices fixed by Andrew, but hey, do you really think someone has several hours to spend for free and you could just tip like Little pennies? And i couldnt find this low price anywhere. The average price is at least 150 USD just for 1 person for 5 hours, not 650 yuans (89usd) for the whole Group. So i highly recommend Andrew, you will not be disappointed!! 👍✨👌

Disappointing behaviour, not reflective of what GuruWalk stands for. First, the guide insisted on communicating outside of the platform (WhatsApp, WeChat). He sent me a message directly via WhatsApp soon after I booked the tour without my consent or permission. Very suspicious behaviour (please don’t blame the firewall). Secondly, via WhatsApp the guide claimed that the tour had to be a private tour with a fixed price paid upfront. This isn’t what guruwalk is used for, and this is certainly not what I was looking for. For transparency the guide asked for 350 rmb for a 3 hour guided tour or 550 rmb for 5 hours. Also clearly extortionate. Lastly, when I did not make this payment in advance, the guide cancelled the tour booking that I made in Guruwalk and tried to imply that it was my decision. I suspect the guide will reply with a comment that I am a liar. It doesn’t matter. I’ve now done my part to warn other guests about the behaviour of this guide.

Andrews tour was informative, interesting and fun. He took us to some of the more popular spots and also some "off the beaten track" places which he tailored for the benefit of the group. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time exploring Chongqing with our guide, Andrew. He shared with us the rich history of the city while also taking us to some hidden gems we would have never found on our own. Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable, but also very fun and easy-going, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend him if you want to discover Chongqing in a unique and memorable way!
