Andrew was very nice. He even met us in the hotel lobby since we were the only ones on that day. It is not a free walking tour though. That being said. you can choose if you want to have a 3hr, 5hr or 7hr tour. we opted for a 5hr tour. we started at 3.5 PM and ended almost at 11PM. quite longer than we have anticipated. we ate in a traditional hotpot restaurant though. we paid also for the guide. we let us guide how to eat the hotpot in a traditional way. that was a really nice experience. I guess that is only fair to pay the guides food if the guide also extended the tour. Information-wise... i mean we went to few interesting spots. unfortunately, i couldnt remember a thing about the history.
Andrew is professional n punctual. He gave information to the sights we visited. We recommend him to other visitors coming to Chongqing.
Andrew was a a great guide! He showed o lot of history, interesting spots and shared food recommendations. If you want to know more about Chongqing dont miss this chance!
Lee Andrew is the kindest guide my husband and I have met during all our travels. He showed us the entire central part of Chongqing, sharing fascinating stories about the city’s history and how different places looked in the past. He even brought photos to help us imagine it all. We talked about the language, modern life in Chongqing, and much more. Andrew took us to unique city attractions like the famous train that passes through buildings, authentic hot pot restaurants, and hidden tunnels that preserve local traditions (I won’t spoil everything, but trust me — the tour is absolutely worth it!). He also gave us excellent tips on how to deepen our cultural experience with museums and helped us navigate both the complex metro system and the digital world in China. Chongqing is a truly impressive city, but it's far too complex for a self-guided walk if you don't understand Chinese — Andrew’s guidance made all the difference. We highly recommend his tours. If you’re visiting Chongqing, start with his walking tour!
