    Rikugien Gardens

    Normally, there is an admission fee, but I will cover your entry. A feudal lord’s garden created 300 years ago during the Edo period. Stroll along the winding paths, over small hills, and around the pond to enjoy the scenery of each season. At the tea house, "Fukiage Chaya," you can savor matcha and traditional Japanese sweets while admiring the garden views.

    Sugamo Jizodori Shopping Street

    Enjoy street food in a local shopping street loved by the community. Experience Japanese culture through tofu shops, pickled goods stores, takoyaki stands, bakeries, tea shops, and more.

    Togenuki Jizoson Koganji Temple

    It is renowned for its blessings of healing and longevity. In particular, the "Arai Kannon" (Washing Kannon) is believed to bring physical and spiritual recovery by washing the affected part of your body and wiping it with a cloth.

    This is the drop-off point. Around Sugamo Station, there are many izakayas loved by the locals. I’ll recommend some of my favorite spots for you to try.
