Berlin has been my hometown for many years, and the streets of this vibrant metropolis are as familiar to me as my own four walls. As a certified guide since 2009, I have the privilege of sharing my knowledge of the history, multicultural diversity and socio-political developments of this city with travelers. For me, Berlin is not just a city, but a living history book that I would love to open for you. I will take you on a unique journey of discovery to the most exciting places in Berlin, where you will not only be amazed by the culture and history, but you will also be able to experience the best of cuisine. Because a city not only consists of its past and impressive real estate developments, but also of the diversity of aromas and flavors it has to offer.
🥅 Free Walking Tour with Football Stories 🥅
Football inspires millions of people in Germany and around the world. The 2024 European Championship will write a new chapter in the history of this sport, in the continent where football comes from. To mark this occasion, we will be devoting our tour to the following topics:
⚽️ When and where did football originate?
⚽️ When were the oldest football clubs in Germany and Europe founded?
⚽️ What role does football play in global politics today?
⚽️ What has made the German men’s and women’s national teams the most successful in the world?
We will explore these aspects in more detail on our tour. Our tour begins at the Brandenburg Gate and takes us through the Mitte district, via Kreuzberg to Tempelhof. We pass through inconspicuous residential areas in which, however, numerous important events in football history took place. We will also look at the topic of sport under National Socialism and in the GDR.
Our final destination is Tempelhofer Feld, which is considered the cradle of German football. The focus is on the beginnings in the German Empire, but we also take a look at further development. The tour includes a total of seven stops and offers insights into the various phases of football development in the capital.
To round things off, we'll have a beer at Tempelhofer Feld and enjoy the exciting football atmosphere at the public viewing!
Join this adrenaline tour and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of football!
