Welcome ! As an architect and guide , very restless and passionate about the challenge of showing Amsterdam from different perspectives and sharing the knowledge I have with my students, tourists and friends, this is the reason why I have 3 very well-considered tours based on a solid curriculum that allows me to cover the cultural needs of tourists , which is the same thing I look for when I travel.

My “fundamental” tour , I have called it that because it gives us the foundation, the foundation, the base, to understand the history of the city through its icons , which are those architectural buildings, notable places, characters or artists etc., that describe and leave their mark on the history of the city, such as "Beginhof, the wonderful 14th century convent... Also World War II , and the emblematic neighborhoods will be present in the tour.

The tour is very entertaining, relaxed, with humor, like when we walk with family or friends , where I will answer your questions, tell many stories and topics that will enrich the walk and we will look for ICONS by sticking our noses in different alleys and neighborhoods to find them, we will see photos and engravings that will enrich the story and thus we will build the "History of Amsterdam" from the 13th to the 21st century, as always in a HIGH QUALITY tour for the traveler looking for culture.

We will say goodbye with a beautiful view over the Amstel River and of course, if we have the time and desire, we will go to a café afterwards . The idea is to have a great time on an unforgettable walk .

The National Monument which is a white column, located in Dam Square . I carry a white umbrella with black letters that says SPANISH , nothing else. No colors or flags. By WhatsApp I will send you a photo of myself, a map and a photo of the starting point and you will find me easily.

I describe the tour in general. There are places that are not published, and they are from my personal research and will certainly be exclusive to you.

∎ Origin of the city: Amsterdam was born into the world from the swamp and the mud centuries ago.

∎ Royal Palace of Amsterdam: It represents the enormous power of the Netherlands in the Golden Age. At this point we open a range of events in history.

• Courts , place of decapitations and hangings in the 17th century.

• Monarchy : place of weddings, coronations and abdications of Dutch sovereigns. 16th - 17th centuries

• Orphanage or Home for Orphaned Children, from 1581.

• Former Central Post Office - Palace, 19th century.

• First city clocks - 14th century

• National Monument - Multi-sculpture that reminds us of the victims of World War II.

∎ Anne Frank   : House-museum : The Frank Family Refuge : Holocaust, Jews in Amsterdam: deportations, hiding places, hunger winter and the horror of the Nazi occupation.


∎ Slavery, Colonialism , its iconography in the city.

∎ Architecture

• Houseboats or floating homes. An unusual way of life, its origin and curiosities .

• De Nieuwe kerk : 15th century church

• Amazing tiny houses in Amsterdam! 17th century

• Crooked or dancing houses , architectural explanation, their structure and their oddities.

• Beginhof Monastery - wonderful, 15th century. An icon of the Middle Ages.

• Canals ; splendid and fundamental. UNESCO Heritage.

∎ ART - HOUSE OF REMBRANDT, baroque painter and his world. Impossible to forget him. His work, his surroundings and his life are present in our tour in Amsterdam.

• Zuiderkerk - South Church - (1614), admired by the painter Monet, and a horrific fate in the Second World War.


• Exceptional wooden house from 1420 in the heart of the city.

• Reservations : There is a limit of 4 people per reservation, split reservations from the same group are not accepted, reservations of 5 participants or more must pay a suggested basic contribution of €13 pp.

• Punctuality : Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of the tour, to leave on time, as sometimes there are people who must return to the airport or the train after finishing the tour.

• Waiting margin : 5 extra minutes for latecomers. If a person does not notify me or does not arrive after the extra minutes, I am allowed to give up the spot to other tourists.

• Accidents : Each participant is responsible for their own physical integrity on the streets during the tour, as well as for any accident, fall or unforeseen event that affects their health. Therefore, it is suggested to have their health insurance policies up to date.

• Do not book or sign up for another activity at least one hour after the tour has finished, in order to replenish your energy and have time to get to the other activity in a relaxed manner without clashing schedules.

• Check the weather forecast, wear appropriate clothing for cold or heat, sun protection, and an umbrella or raincoat, if the weather warrants it.
