TOUR "EROTIC AND HISTORICAL RED LIGHT LIGHT"

I decided on this fascinating place, full of myths, enigmatic and beautiful and I present it as it deserves, with height, with class and not in a crude way as is usual, in a personalized, high-quality tour like ALL my excursions and which complements my other traditional historical tour of the “Historic Center”.

The tour through the RED LIGHT DISTRICT is a “box of surprises” that we will open in an architectural setting unique in the world. I explain it without restrictions regarding topics , WITH CLEAR AND RESPECTFUL LANGUAGE and without abandoning the CULTURAL profile of the tour, where I embrace the beautiful history of the district and the mundane life of the port of Amsterdam, where prostitution has been housed from the Middle Ages to the present day.

In the 20th century, heroin, a hard drug, arrived and left a deep mark on Dutch society.

Nuns, priests, rich and poor, children, sailors, German soldiers in World War II, the painter Rembrandt, Mozart, drug addicts, scientists, criminals, millions of tourists and among them the girls offering pleasure have walked through the Red Light District: therefore we will also have history, art, science and the rich cultural life that arose centuries ago in the Red Light District, with a vast support of photos and prints that will make our excursion even more entertaining and also with good doses of humor.

More than 20 interviews with prostitutes allow me to tell you from first-hand sources what happens from the moment the sex worker opens the door of her “brothel-showcase” to the client, how the service is agreed with her and the surprises that clients sometimes get!!! We will see how the way of offering sex has changed over the centuries in this very place. Added to this are the coffeeshops, gay life, art, live sex shows, churches for the repentant, drugs, the forbidden, the permitted, cultural festivals and decriminalization of marijuana, its characters and inhabitants, etc. Everything takes place in a walk through iconic and historical places of the Red Light District in a unique setting in the world in my old city of Amsterdam.

* Since 2019, ALL Amsterdam tourist guides can only go around the brothel area via peripheral streets authorized by the city council.

* Reservations: A maximum of 4 people per reservation, split reservations from the same group are not accepted, reservations of 5 participants or more must pay the suggested contribution (€ 13 pp).

2 - WAITING PERIOD : 5-7 extra minutes for late arrivals. If a person does not notify or does not arrive after the extra minutes, his/her reservation may be replaced by other tourists.

2 - MINORS : The tour touches on topics of sex and drugs and it is certainly a sensitive topic for some people. I recommend those aged 15-16 and over, accompanied by their parents.

3 - ACCIDENTS: Each participant is responsible for their own physical integrity on the streets during the ride, as well as for any accident, fall or unforeseen event that affects their health, therefore it is suggested to have their health insurance policies up to date .

• Do not book or sign up for another activity at least one hour after the tour has finished, in order to replenish energy and have time to get to the other activity in a relaxed manner and without clashing schedules.

• Check the weather forecast, wear appropriate clothing for cold or heat, sun protection, and an umbrella or raincoat, if the weather warrants it.
