Free walking tours in Chiang Mai

This was one of the best walking tours I’ve joined! Woody is a fantastic guide — very friendly, funny, and easy to understand. We visited beautiful temples like Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh, and I really enjoyed learning about Thai culture and Buddhism in a simple way. The highlight was ending at the street food market — such a great local experience! Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Chiang Mai for the first time.

Pailin was a great guide! Very knowledgeable, funny, and organized. I recommend this tour to all the people who are eager to learn more about Chiang Mai, Buddhism and Thai history. Bonus points for all the tips about the best food spots and other tours, inside and outside Chiang Mai.

Pom was fantastic at explaining everything and giving a great background of both Thai history and Thai Buddhism

I ended up as the only person doing the tour and John did not dissapoint. In fact it became a scooter food tour since he decided to drive me around the places. From the food stalls to the local fresh market where I even bought fruits myself it was such a good way to spend as a local around. Highly recommended !

This walking tour was awesome! We learned about the deep roots of buddhism from our guide and rich stories and details about the three temples we visited. Totally worth it!

Great tour with Amy. We really enjoyed the street food of Chiang. We tasted new meals and fruits (durian !), even though we leave in chiang mai since 6 months. Thanks Amy for these discoveries !

We had the best time on this tour! Amy was a wonderful guide. We learned so much from her about Thai food and Thai culture. Amy took us to 3 markets and we had the most delicious food. We tried a variety of things from noodle curry to duck to pork leg to mangosteen, and of course, mango sticky rice. She picked out things I wouldn’t have known to try which is exactly what I wanted to happen on this tour. We walked a fair amount which was nice after eating a lot, so make sure to wear your walking shoes. This was one of my favorite food tours ever. I highly recommend that you sign up for it!

Amazing tour with a lot of insights about buddhism. Our guide took his time and we ended up much later than scheduled. Time was flying. It was so much better than walking alone without context!! Highly recommended!

The atmosphere throughout the entire tour was very pleasant and friendly. We learned a lot of interesting things, and the amount and selection of information was excellent. It provides a good initial overview of the temples of Chiang Mai. The guide's english was easy to understand. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it. Pailin knows her stuff! Not all temples are the same and she shows you that and knows her history really well. Also nice that she points out her favorite places in the neighborhoods visited!

Great experience with Homie. Lots of interesting information about Chiang Mai as a town, its history, temples, people. Also 17:00 was a great time for the walk as it gets cooler and more beautiful around sunset. Absolutely recommend.

Stellar ride to parts unknown. It was fun, exciting, easy flat ride, and Tiew was an excellent guide and navigator showing us hidden gems we never would have seen. Discovered new parts of Chiang Mai! Well paced, stopping frequently to point out interesting places or share info. Recommend this to everyone! You won’t be disappointed. Bikes were in good condition and rode well. Helmets, night lights, water provided.
