Chiang Mai is my home town. I've traveled to many countries but Chiang Mai remains my very favourite paradise!

A very informative tour of the city. A great way to get your bearings in the old town. The tour was done at a leisurely pace with plenty of food stops along the way (don't fill up on breakfast).
I wish I could give this tour guide 100 stars. She was incredibly thorough and entertaining. Thoughtful about how much and what she shared. You leave with a greater appreciation for Chiang Mai, Thailand and Buddhism. She gives a million recommendations to use in your trip. Start off your stay in Chiang Mai with her tour. I have done many guru tours through Asia and Europe and hers has to be #1. You leave feeling like you have a new friend.
Pailin gave us a wonderful introduction to the history of Chiang Mai, and its temples and Buddhist traditions. Highly recommend!
The tour was different than we expected as we didn't visit all the places as advertised in the tour overview. That was apparently due to the Sunday market. The tour guide was really nice and she gave us a lot of information. I think she had a basic structure to her stories, but she could easily get off topic and continue speaking for a long time(which can be both a plus or a minus). We both enjoyed it nevertheless and learnt a lot of new things, but it might have been a bit too much temple and Buddhism themed for our liking.
