A half-day tour of Soweto township offers you the chance to experience the heart and soul of a busy city within a city.

1. We met at the Soweto Hotel located at the national heritage site known as Walter Sisulu Square with dedication to learn about the signing of the freedom charter.
2. We took a walk around the community of Kliptown, a deprived area of Soweto and also visited a local project to interact with the children.
3. We visited the Orlando Towers, one of the tallest monuments in Soweto formerly used for coal-fired power. The station now hosts adventure sports such as bungee jumping, straitjacket bungee jumping, paintball, free fall and rock climbing.
4. We visited the Héctor Pieteson Memorial. The Hector Peterson Museum is a large museum located in Orlando West Soweto, it tells the story of the 1976 student protest.
5. Mandela's house and Bishop Tutu's house are located on a 1 km long street known as Vilakazi, popular for housing two Nobel Peace Prize winners.
6. We visited the Soweto brewing company, founded in 2012 , which was created with the vision of bringing the success of local brewing to a township environment.
7. The tour will end at Vilakazi Street with the option to have lunch at some of the local and authentic restaurants.
