Tour across Valparaíso (street art, hills and history)

We had a great time wandering with Luis. Learning about the local history and the art of the murals. He grew up in the area. We ran into so many of his friends, which made the day even more personal and enjoyable. He has even worked on some of the murals with the leading artists of the area. One very famous who signs her art "Maidak" and is internationally known. We also enjoyed lunch together, so a very enjoyable day. He didn't mind spending extra time, as he saw we were very interested in the art and history. Of course, we thanked him well. Highly recommend. Six stars out of five. :)

Ich war ganz alleine auf der Tour und hatte zunächst Bedenken. Doch der Tag mit Luis war einfach fantastisch! Er hat sich so viel Mühe gegeben, mir seine Stadt zu zeigen und ließ dabei sein unglaubliches Wissen nicht nur über die Geschichte, sondern auch über die Kultur des Ortes einfließen. So teilte er seine Begeisterung für die landesübliche Musik mit mir, erklärte mir die Besonderheiten der örtlichen Streetart und wir fuhren sogar mit den berühmten Aufzügen. Es war ein wunderschöner Tag. Danke Luis!

Luis was such an entertaining and informative guide with an obvious passion for his home city, Valparaiso. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing about all the history, architecture and current social affairs of this beautiful city, but his knowledge and passion for the local art scene - particularly the street art culture and graffiti/mural works shone through. We were carried along by his enthusiastic explanations of the numerous and wonderful works we encountered on our route and the time absolutely flew by. Our stop for coffee at a local institution was a big hit! We ended the tour wanting more and Luis was really helpful with follow up messages of reminders and recommendations for so many more interesting places to visit locally. Thanks too for our precious humming birds!!

Luis is a highly talented guide who has expert knowledge of his home city, knows how to keep your attention and is professional and courteous at all times. We had great fun walking around Valparaiso with him. His spontaneity and resourcefulness ensured our tour was really interesting, lively and entertaining. More than happy to recommend.
