Venice Must-See: Discover the heart of Venice
Tour description
On this tour we will discover the most important sights of the so-called Pearl of the Adriatic, the most photographed city in the world.
We are going to learn everything you need to know to organize your visit, from its history to practical details such as transportation, where to eat, tricks to save money and get more out of it, etc.
We are located at the entrance of the Galleria dell'Accademia next to the Accademia vaporetto stop .
We will enjoy the Grand Canal of Venice and the palaces on its banks, highlighting the wonderful dome of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute.
We will walk through the baroque church of Santa Maria del Giglio and see its beautiful and unique façade.
And of course St. Mark's Square, perhaps the most famous square in the world, and the Rialto Bridge seen in perspective on the Grand Canal.
This tour is an introduction to a first visit to Venice and is complementary to all our other tours, so if you have more time you can do them all learning something different in each one.
Groups
This is a free-fee tour based on donations. A donation to the guide is expected at the end of the tour.
Sadly we must remember this because some people take advantage of it. Be a responsible traveller and enjoy the opportunity to have a free-pay tour that is much more advantageous for the walker.
Please make a donation if you take the tour, it's the only way we can continue doing it.
The tour is donation-based only for groups of less than 6 people. If you are a group of more than 6 people, even if you come with different reservations, the minimum payment is 10 euros per person.
In a city like Venice where a coffee costs 5 euros it is still a bargain.
Thank you very much and welcome
The Wonderful Venice team
