Excellent tour qui permet d'appréhender Varanasi dans son ensemble et en quelques heures. Guide sympathique qui parle un bon anglais et qui connait bien la ville. Visite d'un magasin de musique avec démonstration ce sitar qui est un plus. Je recommande !

I recently had the distinct pleasure of experiencing Varanasi through a guided tour that proved to be quite exceptional. Our guide's enthusiasm for the city was immediately apparent, and his extensive knowledge of its rich history and cultural tapestry truly enhanced the experience. What set this tour apart was its willingness to venture beyond the typical tourist routes. We were taken to hidden corners of the city, discovering places we would never have found independently. A particularly memorable moment was our visit to a local school, where we were warmly welcomed and gained a genuine insight into the daily lives of the children. Furthermore, a visit to a hospice, a place where individuals come to spend their final days, offered a profoundly moving and humbling perspective on the cycle of life and death within this sacred city. Our guide also led us to a variety of smaller, less frequented temples, each with its own unique story. He provided clear and engaging explanations of the complex mythology and religious symbolism associated with the rituals, effectively weaving together the spiritual and cultural threads that make Varanasi so unique. His storytelling brought the city to life, providing a deeper understanding of its soul. While there were opportunities to explore local shops and purchase souvenirs, there was absolutely no pressure to buy. It felt more like a chance to support local artisans and appreciate their craftsmanship, adding to the authenticity of the experience. In essence, this tour was a well-balanced blend of history, spirituality, and local culture, all brought to life by a guide who clearly holds a deep affection for his city. If you are seeking a tour that goes beyond the surface and offers a genuine understanding of Varanasi, I would highly recommend this experience. It was, indeed, a very good show.

We enjoyed our walking tour with Anant, he is incredibly passionate about both his city and Hinduism. He takes you to a lot of interesting and significant locations around the town, with an emphasis on the temples and how religion is intertwined with the city. It was a great way to get to know the city and we visited many places we definitely wouldn’t have known to. Anant is charismatic and fun to chat to. Would strongly recommend if you have an interest in Hinduism, he also does a food tour and based on the snacks we got along the way, I’m sure this tour would be equally as good if that’s more your preference.

Anand is a friendly and professional guide, he took to me to places in Varanasi I haven't seen like public and religious schools, hostels for elderly that are hoping to die in Varanasi... I highly recommend taking a tour with him
