I am Anant Prakash, a local resident here. Born and brought up here only.
I like to meet new people and exchange experiences. At the same time, it feels great to tell about my city.
I am an experienced tour guide, translator and tour guide specializing in English and Russian. I also have good knowledge of the history of Buddhism.
I completed my Russian course at Tashkent State Technical University in Tashkent.
I am well aware with the culture, rituals and traditions of this city, the Spiritual capital of India, Varanasi!!
I assure you that you will have a great time and experience here!!
A really nice person with so much gratitude and information, very humble guided with so much information and had a bright personality
Since we were hungry for information on Varanasi, one your with Anant wasn't enough! We had a great time with him on both tours (Old city and New city). We got to see things that the normal traveller would'nt find on internet beforehand. Indian wrestling gym, Banaras Hindu University, hospice run by local Hindus, etc. Anant is very knowledgeable and also really flexible according to our interests and desires.
This was an amazing tour and anant was a great tour guide. It was really hot and he catered to us perfectly. He listened to each of our interests and tailored the tour to fit us all to think what we would be interested in. He had great knowledge of everywhere we went , knew all of the best spots and brought a great element of fun to the tour, the 3 hours flew by, we even went to 3.5 hours and he didn’t mind. The citar viewing was our favourite and we even ended up paying for lessons the following day. Would highly recommend anant, when in Varanasi it’s important to understand the importance of what is around you so we would definitely recommend. The only reason I gave 4/5 for locations is due to visiting a hospice which for us we felt disrespectful being there and a couple of shops where we were expected to buy things but didn’t know before going in but overall brilliant tour and great way to spend the day .
Anant gave us the BEST walking tour today in Varanasi!! We learned so much about Varanasi and there really is something for everyone in this tour, from spirituality to architecture to history to tradition. His English is excellent and his knowledge about everything impossible to tire. He answered all our questions, which he happily urged us to ask. The tour was about 4 hours (partly to us also taking break from the warm weather), but it just flew by, because he speaks in such an engaging way. We saw the ins and outs of beautiful temples and shops, making sure to tell us more about them than we could have ever found online. Besides that we also experienced Indian classical music and learned about instruments through a lovely demonstration. A tour can only be as good as its guide and Anant is the perfect man for the job, his pure excitement and appreciation of the city is contageous and he did an excellent job at making us feel comfortable and welcome in a city that can feel overwhelming at times. So thank you Anant and hopefully see you again some time!!
Unforgettable Experience – A Journey Through the Soul of Varanasi I cannot recommend this walking tour of Varanasi highly enough. From the moment we began, it felt less like a tour and more like an exploration guided by someone who truly loves and understands the city. Anant was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and engaging, offering insights into Varanasi’s rich history, and vibrant daily life. We wandered through narrow, colorful alleyways, visited ancient temples, and witnessed the rituals on the ghats. What stood out most was Anant’s ability to weave stories of mythology, tradition, and modern life into every stop, making the city come alive in a way that no guidebook ever could.
