We are several guides in love with Venice, some are authors of several guides and articles about the most beautiful city in the world, others historians. Our specialty is to make our clients happy by showing them culture, history but also leisure and gastronomy. We are looking forward to showing you Venice.
Welcome to the Mysterious Venice: Cannaregio and the Jewish Ghetto tour!
We take you to the unknown part of Venice, where tourists do not go and where the mystery, beauty and fascination that makes this city fall in love is contained.
We tour the fascinating neighborhood of Cannaregio and the Fondamenta de la Misericordia with its hundreds of authentic restaurants and bars next to the water. We will visit the Church of the Jesuits, the Campo dei Mori, the Camel Palace with its legend, the Church of the Madonna del Orto.
Cannaregio is the most authentic neighborhood in the city and where Venetians still live. We show you the life of the last Venetians who resist in their beloved city doing fascinating things until they reach the Jewish Ghetto: the Jewish Quarter where the word ghetto was invented and the oldest ghetto in the world.
We will see koshcer restaurants, Jewish bookstores and kosher stores, with the possibility of visiting its five synagogues, the Hebrew Museum and the Rosso Bank, the oldest in the world.
When you finish, you can relax with an aperitif , a wine or a meal in the best place in Venice to do so: the Fondamenta de la Misericordia. We promise that this tour will be your most beautiful memory of Venice.
*IMPORTANT: Groups of more than 6 people are not admitted, EVEN IF THEY COME WITH DIFFERENT RESERVATIONS. The guide may refuse the admission of these groups on the tour. For groups of more than 6 we have private tours for 150 that can be booked directly with the guide.
We are in front of the Church of the Gesuitas in the Plaza de los Gesuitas, very close to the Fonmente Nove vaporetto stop that takes you to the islands. You will recognize me because I will be carrying a VIOLET umbrella and my official tourist guide accreditation.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
