Julia has a gift for making history engaging and accessible. She answered all our questions thoughtfully and even welcomed our perspectives with genuine curiosity. You can tell she truly loves what she does and wants every guest to walk away with a deeper appreciation for Vietnam. Beyond the information, what stood out most was Julia’s kindness and joy — she made us feel not like tourists, but like welcomed friends. This tour wasn’t just informative, it was truly memorable. We did the street food tour with Stella and enjoyed it very much. She took us to places well-known among locals and told us a lot about the food and the country. It felt very familiar to sit and chat and share tasty food with her. We would highly recommend doing this tour.

Our guide, Stella, was great. She's very knowledgeable and she could answer all of our follow up questions. Her stories about her family with regards to the war grounded our understanding of the struggle of the Vietnamese people. We toured the war museum and hoa lu prison. Our tour experience was definitely made better because of her.
