Unlike many typical tours, there is absolutely no forced shopping. In fact, none of the shopkeepers seem to be linked with him, making this a truly authentic heritage walk rather than a commission-driven experience often seen in tourist destinations. Aditya is a history student and also works at the Albert Museum, and it clearly shows in the depth of his knowledge and enthusiasm. He conducts these walks out of a sincere interest in helping visitors understand and appreciate Jaipur better. He is articulate, patient, and especially great with kids—making a real effort to explain concepts logically, often using stories and illustrations on his iPad to keep things engaging. Our walk lasted a little over 2.5 hours and covered several key landmarks, including Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Jalebi Chowk, the Pink City, Hawa Mahal, and lesser-known gems like Kalki Temple and Ramachandra Ji Temple. His storytelling was interactive and easy to follow, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. At the end of the tour, he shared a curated list of genuine eateries and shopping spots for us to explore on our own—another thoughtful touch. We walked through the old town, get a lot of information about the history, culture, religion and architecture of the town. After the tour the guide shared with us his recommendations for street food and other sights to vist.

Die besuchten Orte waren sehr gut ausgewählt, auch der kurze Spaziergang über zwei Märkte. Mudassir konnte uns zu allen Orten viel erzählen und unsere Fragen beantworten. Man merkt, dass es ihm Freude bereitet anderen seine Stadt und deren Highlights zu zeigen. Eine der besten Touren während meiner Weltreise, insbesondere in Asien.

The tour with Richi was very good. We learned a lot about the history and heritage of Jaipur as well as Indian traditions and culture. He is very passionate about history and answered all of our questions. We also appreciated that it was just about the tour and we didn't make any stops at shops where you usually feel pressured to buy something. Highly recommended!

The gem tour with Umer was fantastic. He took me on his scooter to different places where gems are polished and cut, and he explained many things about the gem industry in Jaipur. Some of his friends from the “gem scene” also joined us and explained a lot as well. Umer is a very polite and friendly guy. The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. He had answers to all questions and left us with a comprehensive view of India culture, architecture and history. We had an excellent experience with our guide Adi in Jaipur, whom we found on the GuruWalk platform. The tour started at Jantar Mantar and covered the Pink City in great detail. Adi took us to several key places, including Govind Dev Ji Temple, Shree Kalki Temple, and the traditional bazaars, explaining everything in a clear and engaging way. Along the way, we also enjoyed a delicious local lassi together. He has a strong academic background in history and is currently pursuing a PhD, which really shows in the depth of his knowledge about Indian culture and history. We asked many questions throughout the tour, and he answered all of them thoroughly and patiently. Beyond the tour itself, Adi shared valuable tips for our stay in Jaipur and India, and recommended several places worth visiting. He is highly professional, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what he does. We feel very lucky to have met him and would strongly recommend his tours. He also offers other experiences such as Amber tours and food tours, so it’s worth checking those out as well.

Haseeb was excellent. His tour was a real contrast to the tour we had done of the main historical sites of Jaipur the previous day. Very insightful on religion and politics and took us to places off - but near - the standard tourist trail.
