Ayumi was a great local tour guide. It was the first time we have used Guru tours and I would highly recommend the Kyoto Gion evening walking tour. Ayumi was a great subject matter expert, she had great insights, great energy and was very respectful of the locals and group alike. There was plenty of time for Q&A and we were all (quietly!) excited to see a number of Geiko and Maiko’s that night! Thank you Ayumi!

Ada knew lots about the Maiko and Geiko. She explained everything in detail but kept it interesting. We managed to see several women fully made up with the dress hair and make up as we walked around too which was amazing!

Very educational, we were especially fortunate to have 6-8 geishas walk by us during the tour and our guide was very good at subtlety pointing them out to us. She had a lot of knowledge about the geishas, the education and life they live. Wonderful

Ayumi is one of the best Guru guides we have had. She is very informative and knowledgeable, has a lovely sense of humor, good energy and positivity, and is very enthusiastic about her topic. She was just as excited as the rest of us when we saw so many geykos and maikos (sorry bad spelling). It was a really fun evening, and we think very highly of Ayumi.

Daniel is great tour guide! He was so funny and he was talking with passion about Gion and Geishas culture!

Ada was certainly well informed and brought humour into her tour but the group was too big and perhaps more interesting stops could have been made but we still enjoyed the tour though it was shorter than expected by 30 mins.

Excellent in every respect. Everyone visiting Kyoto needs to do this tour. Our beautiful guide was fantastic (lovely Spanish lady). We learnt so much and saw lots of Geishas!
