Hana first walked with us through La Boqueria pointing out what to look for in buying ham (on her advice we bought a small package of "acorn fed 100% black feet pigs" type ham), seafood, etc. Then to her apartment where she did some home cooking for us to taste, and finally a walk through other parts of the old town including a more authentic market and great chocolate. A wonderful time!
Please don't let the first bad review put you off. The participants back then didn't know what was good! Hana is simply outstanding. This was, without a doubt, the best free walking tour I’ve ever experienced. Her passion, knowledge, and storytelling made every moment engaging and fun. From exploring the vibrant La Boqueria and El Born markets to learning about traditional Catalan and Spanish cuisine, the tour was an unforgettable deep dive into Barcelona’s food culture. The hands-on mini cooking workshop was such a unique touch, allowing me to truly experience the local flavors. Plus, the cava and sausages were a delightful bonus! Hana’s enthusiasm is contagious, and she goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has an amazing time. If you want an authentic, insightful, and delicious introduction to Barcelona, this tour is a must! Thank you, Hana, for an incredible experience—I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. This tour with Hana is a real gem for foodies. It was really great, combined market and real cooking experience at Hana’s kitchen. Besides tour being very entertaining, Hana is also warm and friendly person, it felt like strolling in a city with a friend who knows a lot about food and Barcelona 🌞 If you have few hrs in the morning, book it and come hungry!

Hanna was amazing!! She accommodated my teens and even gave them a special little treat. She had a wealth of information about the local neighborhoods and shared some great insight into the best vendors for various items. Leading us to the *best* churro shop at the end of the experience was a highlight! I highly recommend this tour with Hanna. It was such a wonderful experience for all of us.
