Me encantaría compartir mis conocimientos y entusiasmo contigo.
Where to begin ~ perhaps at the beginning ? Let's go : my husband and I arrived early (as always) at the designated location and wandered through the amazing stalls at the Boqueria on La Rambla. Shortly afterwards, we saw a lovely lady (who had a striking resemblance to the photo of our tour guide) and I asked if her name was Hana ~ and fortunately for us, she was to be our tour guide and during our time together, Hana would become our friend. After a few minutes of sharing our past experiences in Barcelona and how Hana might tailor our time together, we were on our way. Since we were familiar with La Boqueria, Hana took us to another lesser know market (San Anton) in her neighborhood and then to another local & smaller markert where we found saffron at an amazingly low price. We then walked to Hana's home where we were welcomed into a wonderful world of hospitality & grace. There Hana taught us how she made hummus and gazpacho which were lovingly offered while we embarked on making padron peppers and Spanish tortilla, which was served with yummy Spanish cava (champagne). Afterwards, we walked to a churreria where we had magnificent melted dark Belgian chocolate along with freshly prepared churros. With a final visit to Placa Nou, we said our goodbyes ... knowing that we would see our friend, Hana, again.
This is a really nice combo package. You get a bit of a culinary overview from a longtime resident, and then your even have a small meals as part of the whole thing (and learn about the local cuisine). Vegan friendly. If you like cooking, this is a definite recommendation.
We had the pleasure of joining Hana Anne on her food tour, and it was a memorable experience. As an expat herself, she shared her personal perspective on the local food culture, which made the tour felt authentic. We enjoyed how she took us to her spots and hidden gems, offering a glimpse of the region’s rich culinary heritage and insights from the city’s nooks and crannies. The highlight for us was definitely the cooking tour at her home. It was such a special touch, giving us the chance to roll up our sleeves and learn how to prepare some of the dishes we'd been sampling throughout the trip. The intimate setting made it feel like we were guests in her home, and we left with a deeper appreciation for the local food scene. Overall, this was one of the more memorable food tours we've ever done—personal, insightful, and full of flavor. I do recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful culinary experience!
Wow, this was a fantastic experience. My husband and I only had a short time in Barcelona so we booked this tour hoping for an authentic way to learn about Barcelonas food culture. This tour exceeded these expectations. Hana shared about Catalan and Barcelona culture that extended beyond the food. She is an expat that has lived in Spain for over 20 years so she has a really unique perspective to share. We loved learning about her past and appreciated her recommendations. The food we ate was deliscuous and she helped us find local food to purchase as well. Actually she even helped us find an atm. I loved everything about our time with Hana and we can not recommend her enough!! ❤️
I recently joined Hana's market tour and cooking class, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Initially, I didn’t expect to discover as much as I did, especially since I’d attended other food tours before. Hana’s deep knowledge of the market and passion for Spanish food made all the difference. She knew the best spots for each item and took me to a local churros spot that I still crave—they were delicious! Her understanding of Spanish cuisine and culture was apparent, and her experience in Barcelona gave a unique perspective. She wasn’t just a food expert; she was also a tour guide, she shared captivating stories and history about the city as we strolled through its vibrant streets. This combination of market immersion and cultural insight added so much value to my experience. The cooking class was fantastic—organized, hands-on, and fun. Hana guided me through each step, and the end result was a delicious meal that we both enjoyed. If you’re in Barcelona and looking for an authentic, immersive food experience, I highly recommend Hana's tour. You’ll not only learn about Spanish cuisine but also gain a deeper understanding of the city itself. Thank you, Hana, for an amazing day, and best wishes for your future tours! **— Ayushi**
