We had messaged a few times before today, the day of the walk... I was flying in and I told him I would let him know if there were delays. We actually got in early, so I went to the meeting point about 30 minutes early to wait and find some water. I messaged him 3 different times, with no reply. I was very disappointed, as this was my only day to explore Montevideo.
Oscar went through important aspects of the city history and culture. He was pretty thorough. It was a nice end point with great city view.

Oscar was wonderful - he displayed tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm for the history and culture of Montevideo. The view from top of City Hall was unexpected and lovely. And don’t miss a stop at Cafe Facal after your tour for mate and a chivito!
We were to experience more than the old city. We saw a mix of old and new. Also ent to the government building for a view of the city. Oscar is originally from Cuba so we were able to learn about Uruguay’s history/politics as well as Cuba’s. We really enjoyed the tour and the information.
