Great Soweto walking tour a real, local perspective on the neighbourhood and its history. Not one of those overly touristy tours, but a genuine and insightful experience. Definitely recommended!
We really enjoyed this tour! Thabo was a fantastic guide and made the tour so enjoyable. The tour was fun, informative and time flew by! The food spot was also an added bonus :)
Thabo is a super knowledgeable guide. He knows everybody in the neighborhood, so you know he's local and has lots of additional knowledge that you don't find in a book or with guides from outside the city. It was rainy but it didn't deter us from learning. Also, I did the Apartheid Museum before, so everything cave to life on this tour. Highly recommend. Especially if you have great participants on the tour with you like I did😁
Thabo was an excellent guide – super friendly, open-minded and full of energy. He shared the history of Soweto in such an impressive and passionate way that we really felt connected to the place and its people. We always felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the tour.
