Thabo did a great job and we had a really interesting tour in Soweto. It was good that the tour didn't start at the touristic Hotspot at Hector Pieterson Memorial but at June 16 Memorial Acre to get a better feel of the real Soweto. Can absolutely recommend doing the tour.
Hice este free walking tour recién y me encantó. Fue una experiencia súper interesante para entender Johannesburgo desde adentro, con mucho contexto histórico, social y cultural, explicado de manera clara y cercana. Thabo fue muy profesional, amable y apasionado/a, respondió todas las preguntas y logró que el recorrido fuera dinámico y entretenido en todo momento. Además, me sentí seguro/a durante todo el tour y aprendí muchísimo sobre la ciudad, su pasado y su presente. Súper recomendable tanto si es tu primera vez en Joburg como si querés conocerla más a fondo. Vale totalmente la pena y sin dudas lo volvería a hacer. 🙌
Thabo was exceptional! One of the best walking tours I’ve been on. It felt very authentic and true to the local experience. It was really cool hailing a cab. He made me feel very safe throughout the experience. He stayed longer and extended the tour which was above and beyond. 10/10 recommend!
I had an incredible experience on the free walking tour in Soweto with Thabo. He is incredibly knowledgeable and truly passionate about Soweto’s history, culture, and people. You can tell he really cares about sharing real stories, not just facts from a script. What made this tour so special was how unique and personal it felt. We met local residents along the way, learned about daily life in the community, and Thabo made everyone feel so welcome. He even took us to try amazing local food, which was such a highlight and added so much authenticity to the experience. Thabo is kind, engaging, and an excellent storyteller. This tour gave me a deep appreciation for Soweto and is one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had in South Africa. I highly recommend booking with him if you want a real, local perspective.
