Hi to all the tourists out there who are excited to get to know more about my hometown of Venice. I'm licensed tour guide, I've been doing walking tours for seven years, and I was born and raised in Venice.
Over this period, I have met people from many different cultures and had the chance to share some of Venice's most beautiful places and many of it's hidden secrets. I have enjoyed the experience so much, that I have earned over 250 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor for my tours in Venice.
Francesco took us to places we would never find without his incredible local knowledge and gave us wonderful explanations of everything
Interesting but definitely not passing any of the landmarks people would have heard of. Nice to see different places, hear alternative histories and stories. Bear in mind to take €2 to cross the river by gondola as some of our group hadn’t brought cash.
Francesco’s unique tour was exactly what I wished in advance that it WOULD be, but I was not expecting that my wish would come to pass, yet it did and moreso. The sites he showed us were unique and yet still gave a rounded sense for getting to know Venezia, and I was thrilled that he included having us take a traghetto ride which was on my bucket list. Francesco is a character in the best of ways—entertaining and friendly without assuming a fake overfamiliarity which can be swarmy. It was FREEZING on the day of our tour, yet I would have been happy to shiver through many more hours of Francesco’s charming and educational tour-leading.
Francesco was a very knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. We loved all the hidden gems that he took us to and we were entertained throughout. We feel like we've been given a great insight into the history and the people of this beautiful city.
