Hello! My name is David and I am a licensed guide in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Join my walking tour in Kuala Lumpur China Town will bring you a great memory and satisfaction from my beautiful city!
I had a lovely tour with Han! He is a very friendly and knowledgable guide. I recommend this tour!
Great guy with excellent service and knowkedge
We loved the tour with David. He provided information before the tour via WhatsApp to make sure everyone was on time and at the right place. He was very knowledgeable and kind. We got to learn about the rich history of Kuala Lumpur and its people and got great recommendations for our trip in Malaysia.
The route was nice, David's stories about KL are interesting, so the tour was interesting and although it rained, he continued in the rain, some of us with and others without any umbrellas. David asked us if we wanted to buy umbrellas or use disposable ponchos he had brought with him. However, please note that David has very rigid expectations as to the tip amount that he considers acceptable for his walking tours. Therefore, in my opinion, this is not really an ideal, free, voluntary tip-supported, walking tour like I have done in many other cities with various lots of amazing guides. This here is more of a paid walking tour where each participant is expected to tip a lot of Ringgits but more on the lines of ~50+ $ / € / £ rather than a reasonable amount of Malaysian Ringgits from each participant in the group, according to the wishes of the participants. This expectation that's announced only after people arrive at the starting location makes the whole situation uncomfortable, and not really honest or straightforward as you would expect, as the guide insists multiple times regarding the tips expected and even stops the whole group inside a 7-11 so that participants can withdraw more cash to pay him. David even lists innumerable reasons during the tour as to why he should be paid a really big tip by each and every participant including but not limited the commission charged by this website. Really awkward basically. As a result, I don't know if I will be walking again with David or through this website anymore with other guides.
