Gorge - Tour Guide in Dhaka

I had a great time exploring Dhaka with Gorge. I was the only one on the tour, so I really appreciated that he still went ahead with it and even picked me up directly from my hotel instead of having me meet at the starting point. One thing to note is that this is not a purely walking tour because the distances between the sites are quite long, so you’ll use different forms of local transport along the way. In my case, we used a tuk-tuk from the hotel, several rickshaws between sites, and even took a boat across the Buriganga River, which added to the experience. You should expect to cover your own transport and entrance fees, either directly or by reimbursing George if he pays on your behalf. I personally found it easiest to just handle most of the smaller expenses myself. Unfortunately, I visited on 1 May, which was a public holiday, so both the Ahsan Manzil Museum and Lalbagh Fort were closed, though we still stopped for photos outside. On the plus side, the roads were much clearer than usual, because Dhaka traffic can be intense on normal days. Although GuruWalk lists the tour as four hours due to platform limitations, realistically you should set aside much longer on a regular day if you want to comfortably cover all the stops. Overall, it was a really good introduction to Dhaka, and I’m glad I got to see so many highlights with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Thanks, George!

I had a great experience on the free walking tour in Dhaka with Gorge. He is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming host who made the city come alive with insightful explanations. Beyond the tour itself, Gorge went above and beyond by helping me organize tours in other parts of Bangladesh, which was very helpful and much appreciated. Overall, I felt very well taken care of throughout my time. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dhaka! Thank you George for your time! Pocas veces escribo una review, pero ánimo encarecidamente a todo el que lea esto de que coja este tour. Lo hice solo y es lo mejor que hice ya que es imposible ver todo lo que Dhaca ofrece si vas por libre (y te lo dice un viajero con más de cien países a la espalda). Hacerlo con alguien local te ahorra tiempo y dinero. Enormemente agradecido a George y volvería a repetir una y mil veces el tour. muchas gracias!!

Don't give this guy Gorge any money He still owes me 4000 plus X Taka that I gave him due to his mom's hospital stay plus bus tickets he didn't buy me The free walking tour itself was totally fine there is nothing to complain but don't take his aid when you want to do a round trip he is offering you You can rather ask someone on the street asking for help due to bus tickets than Gorge I'm really disapppointed Was it the money worth to have now such a bad reputation?
