Free walking tours in Chongqing

We booked a private tour with Andrew as we only had a very short time in Chongqing. We couldn’t have made a better decision- Andrew went above and beyond showing us both local secrets like the markets and guiding us around the famous attractions such as the crown escalator and the incredible monorail. He is extremely friendly, chatty and open minded and he tailored the tour to what we wanted to see, providing historical context for each sight and adding in little detours he thought we would enjoy. The city is so dense and it would have been impossible for us to see half of what we saw without Andrew - however the highlight was Andrew’s positive and enthusiastic attitude, we really feel we left as friends. Andrew gave us a very good tour of Chongqîng. He has an excellent knowledge of the city. We've visited some spots that would have never visited alone. He is a knowledgeable. I highly recommend! We ended up the tour eating spicy noodles in the local restaurants.

Increíble la experiencia del tour con Chris. Como ese día no había grupo, hicimos un grupo cerrado para 15 personas del grupo completo que viajábamos. Visitamos lo lugares más icónicos de Chonqing, una ciudad impresionante, única de verdad y con un caos muy divertido. A parte de la visita de los lugares nos los introdujo con datos y referencias. Nos movimos andando y en metro, muy recomendable para las largas distancias. A pesar del día lluvioso lo disfrutamos como niños. Por la tarde invitamos a Chris al concierto que daba nuestra orquesta en el auditorio de la viuda. Experiencia MUY TOP para recordar este día. Espero poder verle en el futuro si visita España o yo de vuelta a Chonqing. 🤘🤘🤘

This was an excellent tour from the onset. Very easily reachable to organise the itinerary and times. Chris also gave us suggestions on what we could see for the remainder of our time in Chongqing and kindly assisted us with booking! His english speaking is execeptional and this was a perfect way to start our trip here to understand the history and develop of the city!

Nice tour with some nice insights into China and Chongqing. We had a lot of questions and Chris was happy to answer them and explained us many thinks. Moreoever, he booked tickets for a ferry trip for us, which was rellay helpful.

Chris tailored the tour to my interest in historic architecture and filled the time as we moved from location to location with information on the history and culture of Chongqing and its place in overall Chinese history. Thank you, Chris, for an excellent introduction to this interesting 8-D city.

Chris was an amazing guide with a wide breadth of knowledge about Chongqing. We walked through the old walls and the 18 steps, as he talked through some of the history and significance of the area. On the 2nd day, Chris gave us a tour of the Three Gorges Museum, which was really interesting. Overall, I appreciated Chris's flexibility as our plans and itinerary changed multiple times, and he was still able to accommodate us. He catered the tour towards what we wanted to see. I would highly recommend Chris if you are looking for an informed, highly knowledgeable tour of Chongqing, but don't know where to start.

It was a very good tour to know the city history. I was alone, so I had to pay for the whole tour but totally worth it. He was answering me all my questions about life in China and hot spots in the city. Totally recommended
