Sadly giving a low rating because the tour got cancelled some hours before… I messaged Beverly stating I was excited to do the tour and to inform her that I needed to leave 15 min earlier. She responded saying she wont be doing the tour because I was the only participant… Imagine if I had not message her? I would have probably get to the meeting point and she wouldn’t be there… I think there should be a rule for Gurus to cancel the tour 24 hours in advance not some hours before… This was extremely disappointing because I only had 1 day in Guatemala City and was counting with this…
Unfortunately it was canceled because I was the only person but at least she let me know!
Beverly hosted a fantastic tour! It was as advertised and so much more. I felt a pulse of the city through her eyes and gained valuable insight. I enjoyed visiting the local stands and the vista at the end is not to be missed.
Beverly is an absolute gem of a guide! We just completed the Guatemala Historical Avenues Walking Tour and it exceeded every expectation. Beverly's English is perfect and her knowledge of the city's history made every street come alive in a way we never expected. We started with an incredible stop for fresh ceviche at a local spot, the kind of place you'd never find on your own, then moved on to the most beautiful local coffee shop. We've had coffee all over the world, and this was genuinely some of the best we've ever tasted. For the afternoon, Beverly took us for shuco, a true Guatemalan street food experience that was absolutely delicious and something we won't soon forget. The tour covered so much rich history as we wandered through stunning streets, and we always felt completely safe the entire time. Beverly clearly knows this city inside and out. The grand finale was a breathtaking viewpoint that made for a perfect ending. If you're visiting Guatemala City, do NOT skip this tour. Beverly will completely change how you see this city. 10/10!
I am not sure how much lead time she needs. But we booked it two hours out and she was unable to do it. Maybe she should pull the tour?
