Hello! I am Emanuele and I was born and live in Naples, I am deeply in love with the whole gulf of which I consider myself a child, I love to get in touch with the contrasting and fragmented realities that characterize the Neapolitan area and in particular my beloved city, just as I love very much travel and discover cultures and customs different from mine.
I have been working in tourism and public relations for 10 years, and I have always felt the need to deviate from the way of doing mass tourism, preferring a vision more oriented towards "travelers" rather than "tourists", putting in contact the people with the different colors of local realities and listen to the thousand voices and the thousand stories they tell.
I am not a formal guide but rather I consider myself a cultural mediator between the traveler and the world I know, in order to help him feel part of the reality that surrounds him so that he can touch it with his hand, and experience it, rather than looking at it from the outside as in a shop window. I also believe that this is the best way to make everyone's experience more informal, spontaneous and genuine.
So what are you waiting for? Are you coming for a friendly walk with me?
Emanuel is very knowledgeable and fervent Napolitano. His instructive 30 minute introduction was about as long as you can absorb info, standing in the rain; the walk through the quartieri spagnoli was mostly a lecture in left leaning micro and macro economics. Suggestion: talk less about the impact of tourism, more about the buildings, local stories and history. Appreciated: knowledge, humour, energy level, intro to 2 local businesses.
Emanuele è stato molto bravo. Mi è piaciuto tantissimo il tour. Lo raccomando!
A very beautiful guided tour. Emanuelle showed us the true face of Naples, its culture and the local life of the Neapolitans. He is also very pleasant — a true Neapolitan local. Thank you, Emanuelle, it was really wonderful.
Wow! Emanuele is alive with the passion and love for the people and culture of Naples, especially the Spanish Quarter. We covered the history of Naples and then zeroed in on the neighborhood, food, culture, and folklore of the Spanish Quarter. Bravo!
