I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. If you join me, I will not only show you the most beautiful and important sights of the capital city but also share some of the best stories it has with you.
It was amazing! Robert had wonderful information to share, including personal family stories that made everything come alive. The perfect mix of humor, knowledge, and interaction. You can tell he puts so much time and heart into creating this tour — I couldn’t recommend it enough! Truly a 10 out of 10!
This was one of the best free tours I've ever experienced! Robert was thorough, smart, funny, entertaining and caring, he even provided hot tea for everyone! We discovered lots of interesting facts about Budapest and learned about Hungarian history and culture, all while seeing some of the most fascinating locations of the city. The tour is quite long, so be prepared for the winter cold and rain, it will be worth your while!
Robert was an amazing guide—knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely passionate about the city. He kept the tour engaging with great stories, thoughtful insights, and plenty of local tips. The highlight was his warm, welcoming energy… and even warm tea he shared with us along the way! It was such a kind touch that made the experience feel personal and memorable. I highly recommend joining his tour!
Robert clearly put a lot of effort into the tour, he was full of knowledge and provided so many interesting facts and insights into the history and politics of Hungary over the years. A suitable length walk for all abilities.
Robert is the best. He knows his city super well. If you're interested in history, art, and politics of Hungary, you should definitely join
