I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. The "Highlights and Secrets of Budapest In Depth Small Group Tour" with guide Robert was really great. It's not a tour that covers a lot of distance, but it does cover a lot of information. And Robert is clearly a great storyteller. He is very interactive with the people in the tour, and has so much to tell he must be one of the fastest speaking tour-guides I ever experienced (in a positive way). Not just dry facts but stories ranging from history to personal stories and recommendations. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

Robert gets into delicious detail describing and acting out the various characters making up the history and present of Hungary and life in Budapest. It’s a great way to introduce the layers of architecture and food in this city. Educational and entertaining at the same time. Highly recommend this tour on your first day. You’ll receive a list of recommendations as well.
A lot of standing around and not too much walking. Very limited view of the City . However, i was suffering from a bad back so not moving didn't help !
