I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. If you join me, I will not only show you the most beautiful and important sights of the capital city but also share some of the best stories it has with you.
Robert’s depth of knowledge really shone through, and he offered a captivating perspective on Budapest’s architecture, history and culture. I’d happily recommend him to others.
Robert was brilliant - very amusing and insightful
I really enjoyed Robert‘s walking tour. I selected it because I was impressed with his unique approach to storytelling and it truly showed during the visit. He was very knowledgeable about history, art, culture, politics, and the nice touch was the tea that he prepared for the group and the coffee shop stop to cozy up in the cold weather. I definitely recommend.
Robert was an exceptional tour guide! He was funny and informative, very professional and patient. It was very cold and he did a great job of accommodating that with hot tea and a stop to warm up a little bit the coffee or hot chocolate. It was a great afternoon!
We met Robert for a comprehensive and in depth walking tour of Budapest and we’re astounded. Despite the freezing cold weather, snow and thick fog, he delivered a beautifully crafted insight into not only the historical data of Budapest but also colourfully illustrated the lives of those who have inhabited and shaped the city. The tour spans historically from the formation of the Hungarian nation up until the present day, which given the 3.5 hour time frame is an impressive feat to keep the audience engaged and entertained. Alongside the historical data included, Robert also weaves a tangent of Hungarian film, theatre and art which enriches the tour and leaves so much more to explore once it is over. We are very grateful to have learnt from a genuinely passionate Budapestian who has flawlessly imparted the knowledge that will ignite our own research. Egészségére from Liverpool !
