JP the guide was engaging and informative. He paints an excellent picture blending visual aids, historical facts, anecdotes and key landmarks. JP was inclusive and happy to answer questions. This is a unique tour that sheds light on an important period of Spanish history that influences contemporary Madrid. The tour introduces you to places in Madrid you wouldn’t otherwise see and inspired me to do another tour with this company. I have been on many walking tours in numerous cities and this was one of the very best. Thank you JP.

We joined the “SPANISH CIVIL WAR: beginning of World War II, Bombings, Guernica, Franco and more” tour by Tourstilla on May 26, 2026, and it was an incredibly engaging and fascinating experience! Time literally flew by while we learned so many things we didn’t know about the Spanish Civil War, the historical context of the period, and its connection to the beginning of World War II. The tour was full of interesting content, yet always clear, dynamic, but not overwhelming. A special thanks to our guide, Nita, who was brilliant, knowledgeable, attentive, and very approachable. She brought every stop to life with many interesting and even funny anecdotes, keeping the group engaged from beginning to end. If we had stayed longer in Madrid, we would definitely have joined other tours with her. Highly recommended!

Great walk and guided tour. Victor has excellent knowledge and he is enthusiastic in his delivery. We would recommend this tour to get to know something about the Spanish war nobody talks about.
