Theodore - Stadtführer in London

It was our first time in London and we decided to join the London Essentials tour with Theo. It was honestly a very good decision. Theo is a great guide. He is very kind, open and easy to talk to. From the beginning he encouraged everyone to ask questions and he was always happy to answer. Even when someone had small language problems, he was patient and really tried to understand. You can feel that he truly listens and cares about the group. During the walk he shared not only historical facts, but also practical tips about the places we were passing. He told interesting stories, but also small everyday things (like feeding squirrels in the park), which made the tour feel more real and less “textbook”. He has a very good sense of humour and adds small comments that make the stories more alive. You can clearly see that he is a history nerd in a positive way – he knows many details and explains them in an easy way. The route was very well planned and we walked in a calm, natural pace. We never felt rushed. We were travelling with a child and Theo noticed that immediately. He talked to him, checked if everything was ok and made sure he was included. That was really nice. He also often offered to take photos for us and showed great photo spots and places where you can see London from a slightly different perspective. Without this tour we would not have discovered some of these extra places and we would not feel so relaxed while exploring the city. These two hours went very fast and were really enjoyable. At the end Theo also gave us good recommendations for food and pubs – and we actually used them later the same day. I can really recommend this tour with Theo, especially if it’s your first time in London.

What a fantastic way to see all the popular sites in London! Theo was well informed and had lots of interesting facts and information that I didn't know before the tour. When I expressed interest in a topic that wasn't quite a part of the tour (but tour adjacent) he was able to answer those questions as well. I appreciated that there was a little break halfway through the tour where you could get a coffee or use the toilet. Even in a very busy area, he was able to keep us all together and have the tour moving at a good pace . Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting London.
