Ein bisschen Geschichte, ein bisschen Wissenswertes und ein paar kleine Witze. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Edinburgh, arbeitete ich 17 Jahre lang als Reporter, Feature-Autor und Filmredakteur beim Scotsman und schrieb anschließend regelmäßig für den Guardian und die London Times. Ich habe mehrere Bücher geschrieben und herausgegeben, darunter „The Times on Cinema“ und „On Location – The Film Fan’s Guide to Britain and Ireland“. Zuletzt war ich als Reiseführer im nationalen Fernsehen in der Sendung „This Morning“ zu sehen.

This was a really great tour. Brian was a very knowledgeable and engaging guide. He knew his way the only round the principal sites but around lots of interesting back alleys. So he showed us things which we otherwise would never have found on our own. He also has a very interesting backstory as a leading journalist on national newspapers specialising in film – make sure you ask him about ‘Braveheart’ and his involvement in that movie. It was a really great walking tour and I would recommend it without hesitation.
Had a lovely time. Brian was engaging, funny and informative. He managed to get us through the city center during Fringe in a comfortable way, which I consider amazing. Would highly recommend.
