This is a great tour. You will see places you could never find on your own that are significant to Lyon. Bertrand is an excellent tour guide, He knows his stuff and he is easy to understand in French and in English -- maybe more. The walk is a little slow.
We like seeing parts of the city that are not necessarily on everyone's top ten list. We have learned that a walking tour is a far superior way to get a quick but authentic view of a city than those Hop On and Hop Off bus rides. This tour took us through important historical parts of Paris where the oldest, still standing churches in Paris can be found, and see the cafes where big personalities like Queen Elizabeth, Ernest Hemingway, and Simone de Beauvoir and her rowdy, but intellectual crowd used to hang out. Morgan, our guide, knows the ins and outs of Paris and not only took us around St. Germain and the Latin Quarter but also gave us a complete list of places to visit not otherwise promoted in popular blogs and online searches. It’s easy to wander around enchanting Latin quarter area of old Paris and feel its fascio vibe. But in our Latin Quarter walking tour with Sanna, gaps in history and information were filled-in in interest stories. She brought this area of this beautiful city to life. Highly encourage everyone to take this tour!
I didn’t hear our guide’s name but she was French, lived in London for a while and spoke perfect English. She was excellent as was the walking tour. This was our second tour through Monmartre. We feared a repeat of the previous tour but it was full of new stops and interesting info. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Ben is articulate, entertaining, and well-versed on important spots in Paris. Ben takes his job seriously and make sure everyone has a fantastic time. The pace was just right, and the route was perfect for an introduction to Paris.
