We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Beverly in this tour. She pointed out all the important buildings, monuments, and neighboring zones, and told us the history and purpose of each, adding in the impact of government giving authenticity by including both positive and negative perspectives. As we walked along together on the beautiful boulevards she provided insight on the real lives of Guatemalans. As a plus, she took us to try her favorite family-made ceviche sold streetside out of the back of a truck. It possibly the best we’ve ever had! Later we stopped for a cup of wonderful Guatemalan coffee and if that were not enough, we had shuco at a stand that’s been making these amazing hot dogs in their cart for 30 years. Fabulous! The highlight of the tour is the end at Plaza Berlin where on a clear day the entire valley and through three volcanoes in the distance can be seen on the horizon.

Do sign up for this tour especially if you were into architecture and history. Antigua is an amazingly old and quite historic city. . Our guide certainly knows his stuff. However when you sign up, I would make a request that the group is no larger than 12 people. Our guide accepted 10-20 people who had not previously registered. We were in a group of over 20 and it was almost impossible to hear and understand what the guide had to say even with his microphone.

Response from Pablo
I did my job as it should be and you and your husband did not pay attention to me, which I find very rude on your part, you were talking to other people, I used my microphone as it should be, and what you say about the tour being long is a lie, do not be a liar ma'am, the tour complied with the stipulated time, there are witnesses to that, and the people who arrived did not reserve and I decided to receive them because there were not many people on the tour, the tour is oriented towards history and architecture and the history of Antigua and Guatemala. I do not know what you expect from the tour if you reserve a tour it is because you are interested, I put it in the description and you do not read, and when you left you did not even say goodbye to me, nor did you thank me, that is why it is in the description, maintain good behavior, the guide deserves respect, I am not just anyone, you think they are going to humiliate you, we Guatemalans with some exceptions are used to giving the same treatment to tourists. You try to do your best and you don't get on well with people. For that there are other types of tours. I don't know what type of tour you are used to doing.

This is wonderful walking tour lef by a wonderful guide. In this fascinating tour, we visited important sites in San Salvador’s historic center. David provided concise historical accounts and importance points of each site. He also lent his own detailed first hand story of the city and this country, its government from the 1980s to current times, and he shared info about changes that have brought about the city’s recent emergence from one of the most dangerous cities in the world to one of the very safest cities in the world. This is an excellent tour! Cheers to David.

This is a good tour and is done at a very comfortable pace in which the most important historical sites of the old city are visited. If in a group that requires Victor to present in multiple languages, be very clear as to which language you understand best.

Great tour around town. But this walk is almost identical to Granada city Crnter-Albaicin walk.
