This tour was really the highlight of our wknd in Rome. My husband, children and I have visited the city many times, but decided to take the tour to show the girlfriend of our son who had never been, the highlights of Rome. We were surprised to learn so many new things about the history and architecture of the city. Jacopo was truly excellent. Knowledgeable, funny and focused, he managed to tell the story of the powerful families who made the history of Rome in a very interesting yet entertaining manner. Undoubtedly, one of the best guides we have encountered during our travels. Grazie mille Jacopo for the fun morning.
Perhaps not our style, but I felt more like an audience member at a theater play. She was highly expressive and dramatic with hand and facial gestures, but it was a little too much for us. I was distracted and found it difficult to focus on and absorb the information. I’ve been on a lot of walking tours around the world and this one just did not resonate with me.
