Hi Mary, Your review doesn’t reflect the fact that you and the guide were BOTH late and unable to cross to the square because of the police barricade due to the March. You were the only one for the tour and we conducted it especially for you when you said you’d be really disappointed if we cancelled. How did you not read any of the tour description? Tarlabaşı is yes, run-down and poor and we exactly try to showcase this dark side behind the entertainment district. You, “a decent person,” made borderline racist / classist comments talking about how it was “dirty, dangerous, falling apart.” You clearly did not comprehend and manage your expectations for the tour. Also, it is awfully unkind to be so smiley until the end of the tour then go out and write something completely different about a tour that was put on basically privately for you. Your attitude is not in line with the platform at all and I’d be sorry to have you back on one of my tours.
