Ich bin gebürtige Istanbulerin (ich hasse Istanbuler) und habe mehrere Jahre in anderen vielfältigen und schnelllebigen Städten gelebt, darunter Houston, Boston und London. Ich denke, ich kann Ihnen eine einzigartige Perspektive auf Istanbul geben, indem ich es mit anderen Metropolen vergleiche und Ihnen letztendlich zeigen kann, dass es mit keiner anderen Stadt der Welt vergleichbar ist. Ich bin selbst eine begeisterte Reisende und schätze die spontanen Kontakte, die unterwegs entstehen, sehr; rein aus gemeinsamer Neugier und einer unausgesprochenen Vereinbarung, einen Moment miteinander zu teilen. Incredibly knowledgeable and wow, such a good storyteller as well. She managed to turn centuries of complex events into an understandable and entertaining story. A great companion for understanding this beautiful city

S did not show up at the designated time (20 Jan 2026) nor the designated place (Books & Coffee). She did NOT respond to text messages inquiring as to whether she would show up or not. Next she reports to GuruWalk that I did NOT attend the tour when she was the one who was the NO SHOW!

I had such a great time on this tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the city beyond the usual tourist spots. Our guide Sahika was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing stories and insights you wouldn’t find in a guidebook, and the route took us through vibrant neighbourhoods full of character and hidden gems. The whole experience felt more like exploring the city with a local friend than being on a tour. A fantastic way to see a different, cooler side of Istanbul.
