Joao was so knowledgable about Coimbra’s history and he shared many interesting stories, facts, and legends. It is a beautiful city and experiencing it with Joao, who grew up in Coimbra, was wonderful. We highly recommend his walking tour.

We did a free walking tour in Coimbra with João, and it ended up being just me and my husband, so we basically got a private tour. We used the chance to ask a bunch of questions about university life, and João had so many fun stories and little details. After his comments on each spot, we honestly started seeing the city with different eyes, it was really insightful. We covered all the key places, plus he gave great recommendations for where to go and what to eat. He’s also just a genuinely pleasant person to spend time with. We enjoyed it a lot and would 100% recommend.
