Free walking tours in Addis Ababa

I feel soooo grateful to Reta! He was great!! He was very kind and generous with his time from the beginning to the end. We were on a long stopover in Addis-Abeba and decided to do a free tour to get to discover the city. The problem is that once you leave the hotel, your wifi is off and cannot communicate by whatsapp any more... This is why we got lost trying to reach the meeting point. We asked for help at a bank and a very kind person shared his hotspot with us and Reta came to look for us within 10 minutes. On top of this, he adapted the tour for us (we were only 2 in the group), as I had a sprained toe and a huge blister, and couldn't walk fast at all. The tour was much longer (3 extra hours) so we could see many things, send poscards from the Post Office, have traditional food and coffee, do some shooping at "Mercato"... It was great, as I could learn a lot and enjoy Addis. I felt very lucky to have him as our guide and I am will definitely contact him again if I go back to Ethiopia one day. I can only say THANKS, RETA!!

The tour was great: the coffee tasting, the restaurant with local food, the market visit, all of it! We would not be able to see those places on our own. If you are looking for a truly authentic experience, I definitely recommend taking this tour!

My day touring with Reta was wonderful. We went to several places including Entoto Mountain, an amazing traditional Ethiopian dance and music performance, and a few others in between. He was very flexible with the itinerary and we stopped a few times to see something along the way and so I could take pictures. Reta is professional, kind, accommodating, knowledgable, and an overall remarkable young man! If you're considering doing a tour with Reta you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend him! And I predict you'll have a new friend in Addis when the tour is over! 😊

My tour with Kenaw was really great! We visited the crazy and sprawling Merkato Market among several other stops. Kenaw is professional, friendly, punctual, kind, and a very knowledgable guide. I highly recommend going out to explore Addis with Kenaw...you won't be disapointed.
