Ellen is enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable! Our group had a great time learning about York from her and got to see areas we would never have discovered on our own. She has a wealth of knowledge and you won't be disappointed taking a tour with her!

Elen is an excellent guide, so professional, she knows everything about romans in york and she is so welcoming and nice. She took us to the romans baths, we didnt know they existed. 100% recommended

Ellen was a wonderful and informative guide. There was only 2 of us in the group so she was able to personalise it. We learn lots of interesting things and visited places we would otherwise have missed. Well worth the visit

The tour with Ellen was very interesting and refreshing. Even though I’m not so interested in Roman History, she made it really fun and entertaining. It was the right pace, enough Spots and some cool hidden spots, you’re probably overseeing when exploring alone. Thanks again Ellen :-)

Ellen was very nice and eventhough we were only the 2 of us for the tour she made it just for us. She tries the best for us to understand everything and she speaks slowly to us because we don't speak english. She made the tour very interesting and wonderfull. Thank You Ellen for the tour🙂

Such a great way to explore York! Ellen was fantastic as she shared interesting stories, fact s & sites relating to the Roman settlement of York. The sites were fascinating & not crowded, enabling us to get up close to actual Roman ruins. Yay! She shared a few non- roman info too, answering questions & wonderings the group members had. I really enjoyed our time in York. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks again Ellen. 👏🏽

Fantastic, interesting and fun tour - Ellen has put a lot of thought into how to showcase a multitude of Roman treasures into an hour and a half! We left seeing the city in a completely new lens - such fascinating history and beautiful buildings and interesting places. She also gave us some great recommendations for local bars which we went to afterwards! An excellent way to make the most of your time in York - highly recommended.
